Using the lunchroom as a meeting place

Vinngroup is a company that starts new companies together with people who have ideas. Since 2008, they have been behind no less than 16 start-ups and have 250 employees. 200 of them are based at the office in Gothenburg and the rest in other locations around the country. The drive and innovation are in the walls here. And when you are constantly striving forward, it is important that everything around you runs smoothly. To be able to fill up with energy, to take one example.

Stina Lundahl sits at the reception and tells us more about the time before – and after – Convini.

– We are very many different people who fit under the same roof here with many open spaces where everything from suits to hipster beards and knitted hats apply. Even though there are so many different things going on here, we have a very nice company culture that everyone agrees on. The lunchroom is a place where it is particularly noticeable because it is when you get the chance to take a break and socialize across company boundaries, says Stina.

Vinngroup does not have just any lunch room, but a top floor with an associated roof terrace that also serves as the company’s party room. Previously, the space was not utilized in the same way as today because most people went out to eat their lunch. Stina explains:

– In the past, most people disappeared out to lunch, but now it has become much more common for us to sit down together at lunch, which is very nice. Everyone has to eat lunch, so it’s incredibly convenient to have a solution so close. A lunch hour goes quickly and now people don’t have to rush. But it’s also a good solution when people work late so they can get some dinner.

Vinngroup started with the Convinis test offer and the coolers quickly became part of the permanent decor. When it turned out that there were nut allergy sufferers among the employees, they called to have the range adjusted.

– We got help to replace the nut bags with other things right away! It was incredibly well done, I think. Overall, everything has worked very smoothly and it never feels difficult to make special requests. You are always treated nicely and get the feeling that everything can be solved! It feels safe.
